Pocket Option and MetaTrader: the MT4 question answered
Pocket Option has no MetaTrader 4 and no MetaTrader 5 client. The words “MetaTrader”, “MT4” and “MT5” appear nowhere on pocketoption.com — not in the menu, not in the footer, not in the platforms block, which lists exactly four official routes: the Android app, a direct APK, the Web App and a Telegram bot. Trading happens in the company's own web interface, which its agreement names the Trading Terminal.

The single place the word MetaTrader turns up in the brand's public footprint is the Google Play developer bio of Pocket Investments S.R.L., which says the studio builds “solutions for MetaTrader trading platforms” — a description of the developer's work, not of this product. Pocket Option does not offer MetaTrader 4 or 5
Anyone searching for Pocket Option MT4 forex trading platform features is looking for a product that does not exist. We checked every public place where a broker announces MetaTrader support: each came back empty.
The scan beside this text shows what each of those places actually lists. The only legal description of the software is in the public offer:

Three things feed the question, and each one dissolves next to a fact.
The developer bio
Pocket Investments S.R.L. publishes the Pocket Option app on Google Play (5M+ installs as of 29 August 2026). Its developer page reads: We develop software for Forex Brokers. A lot of solutions for MetaTrader trading platforms.
That describes the studio, not this product.
The forex habit
Forex brokers almost always hand out MetaTrader, so traders expect it everywhere. But fixed-outcome contracts — Call or Put, a set expiry, a payout fixed at the click — are not what MetaTrader was built for.
Third-party code

What the proprietary terminal does instead — feature by feature
Pocket Option trading happens on one screen:
- Candle chart with a timeframe selector — M1, M4 and up — at the bottom left.
- Asset list with the payout percentage next to every instrument.
- Expiry timer, set per trade.
- Amount field, from $1.
- Call and Put buttons, labelled Buy and Sell on screen.
- Demo/Real switch and a trade history panel; the demo holds $50,000.

A payout table in public
The assets schedule publishes the payout per instrument in five categories — Currency, Commodities, Stocks, Cryptocurrencies, Indices — under Current, General and OTC tabs. On 29 August 2026 it ran from 92% down to 86%. OTC pairs are quoted by the company, so they run even when the sessions below are closed.
The platform states its charts engine increases “battery life up to 25 %”; not measured by us.

What you lose without MetaTrader
The honest list of what a MetaTrader user leaves behind:
- No expert advisors, no MQL scripts. Every contract is a manual click.
- No strategy tester on historical data. Only the real-time demo.
- No familiar quote export. The platform publishes no download of price history.
- No choice of quote provider. The price comes from one place only.

Questions about MetaTrader
Does Pocket Option support MetaTrader 4?
No. There is no MT4 client, no MT5 client and no MetaTrader server to connect to. The words MetaTrader, MT4 and MT5 do not appear anywhere on pocketoption.com, and the platforms block in its footer lists exactly four official routes: the Android app, a direct APK, the Web App and a Telegram bot.
Why do search results mention Pocket Option and MetaTrader together?
Largely because of one line in the Google Play developer bio of Pocket Investments S.R.L.: «We develop software for Forex Brokers. A lot of solutions for MetaTrader trading platforms». That describes the studio's wider work, not the Pocket Option product. Third-party MQL4 code by unrelated authors adds to the confusion.
What does the proprietary terminal have that MT4 does not?
A payout percentage published next to every asset, an expiry timer and Call/Put buttons — none of which exist in MetaTrader, because MetaTrader is built for positions with variable outcomes rather than fixed ones. The assets schedule showed payouts from 86% to 92% when we read it on 29 August 2026.
What do I give up by not having MetaTrader?
Expert advisors and scripts in MQL, third-party strategy testing on historical data, familiar quote exports and any choice of quote provider. The agreement states the company quotes from its own paid sources and that quotes from anywhere else cannot be taken into account when a dispute is considered.
Verdict
Stop looking for the MT4 version
A Pocket Option MT4 build does not exist; anything offered under that name has nothing to do with the platform. The company's own terminal is not a compromise but a different class of product, with a payout set before the click. More on the Pocket Option terminal itself.
